Bowman Power win ENGIE Business Challenge and fundraise for Asthma UK

On 20th October 2019, six employees from Bowman Power Group Ltd (Bowman) tackled the Simplyhealth Great South Run in Portsmouth to raise money for their corporate charity, Asthma UK.

The race marked the latest in a string of fundraising activities that Bowman has completed for Asthma UK over the last two years including cake sales, sporting events, foosball tournaments, sweepstakes and more.

In addition to their fundraising, Bowman also secured victory in the ENGIE Business Challenge for the second year running. With a team comprising of a range of abilities – from first time runners to Ironman finishers – they placed first in the Male Medium Business category. This involved beating 15 other companies to secure the fastest time as a group of four.

Paul Dowman-Tucker, CEO of Bowman, commented “I’m very proud of our runners, and everyone who supported them in the office, for their continued fundraising on behalf of Asthma UK. We are always keen to support the excellent work they do across the UK and globally by funding world-leading research and scientists, campaigning for change and helping people with asthma.”

Bowman’s runners were Craig Miller, Marcus Lee, Mike Hartridge, Owen Creese-Smith, Raja Savanam and Rob Fallon.
