Bowman Power Group, an innovator in improving the efficiency of industrial engines and generators, has appointed Ronald (Ron) Sams to its Board of Directors, effective 1st April 2018.
Dr Toby King is stepping down after several years of service to the company, formerly as CEO, but more recently as a non-executive director.
Ron brings his considerable global leadership and transformational change experience to support the company in development and execution of its strategy, having held a number of international operational and MD positions in the engineering sector. Most of Ron’s early career was spent at Agusta-Westland Helicopters UK where he ultimately held the role of Operations Director. He then went on to lead a number of transformational change improvement programmes in different roles, working in industry alongside the UK Ministry of Defence, before moving to Aggreko to be Group Operations and Technology Director. In his time at Aggreko, Ron was responsible for developing a global operational strategy in the $1Bn turnover Power Projects part of the business and implementing 200 new projects in 30 countries amounting to over 2GW of power.
