Bowman Power has been recognised for its innovation in the burgeoning green technology sector with a podium placement in the EMEA Fast 500 awards.

The company’s unique energy recovery technology saw it ranked third in the Green Tech sector across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Fast-growing Bowman Power achieved its position thanks to revenue growth of no less than 1022% from 2009 to 2013.

Bowman was also in third place among the 12 listed companies in the UK’s south east region, and the 24th fastest-growing company among the 71 UK firms that featured on the list. Overall, Bowman was placed 135th in the EMEA Fast 500 ranking.

The EMEA Fast 500, conducted by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL), provides a ranking of the fastest growing technology, software, internet, media, telecommunications and green technology companies – both public and private – across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

To qualify for Fast 500 recognition, companies must have base-year operating revenues of at least €50,000, current-year operating revenues of at least €800,000 and be headquartered within Europe, the Middle East or Africa.

“Being one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in EMEA is an impressive accomplishment,” said David Halstead, Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA lead.

Toby King, Bowman CEO, said: “Our rapid growth in recent years demonstrates that we provide technology that makes a real difference to our customers, technology that is also robust and durable. The award is testament to the hard work of everyone at Bowman Power and welcome recognition.”

Bowman Power was eligible for inclusion in the EMEA listing following its success in the UK Fast 50 awards.
