Cleantech Innovate 2015 is the largest showcase of Britain’s most innovative green technologies.

Shortlisted for the cash prize of €20,000, Bowman Power will have the opportunity to pitch its technology in front of an audience of investors, buyers and industry specialists.

Cleantech Innovate focuses on companies and entrepreneurs which it considers possess ‘technologies of the future’, with a particular interest in green and renewable technologies. Backed by both the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and Innovate UK, Cleantech Innovate is organised by ecoConnect CIC.

Nick Smailes, Lead Technologist of Energy Systems, Innovate UK, commented; “This year’s finalists are an example of the breadth and potential of the UK’s innovation in the cleantech sector. It’s great to see novel solutions for clean energy generation and water treatment alongside new and exciting ideas for introducing clean technology in our homes and cities.”

Finalists are chosen on the basis that their innovations must be investable, sustainable and scalable, and Bowman Power is proud to be considered for the winning title.

Dr Toby King, CEO of Bowman Power, stated; “We’re delighted that our technology has received recognition at this important event, and look forward to the Finals in February. Bowman Power has developed green technology which can make a significant and proven difference to engine efficiency, with a short payback time, and we believe our technology is a perfect example of Britain’s growing green energy industry.”

Cleantech Innovate will take place in London at the Institute of Mechanical Engineers on 12 February 2015. The event will open with headline addresses from Amber Rudd MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Climate Change, and Henrik Olsen, Founder of the Environmental Technologies Fund.
