Our VALUES AND PURPOSE

We are driven by the need for the world to decarbonise in order to protect the climate and our planet for generations to come, pure and simple. We are also honest about the journey we all face together to get there as a global population, and the realities and practicalities of the world’s social and economic structures.

There is no silver bullet and no one single solution, at least that we know of today – progress will be evolutionary. Bowman’s purpose within this journey is to make the vital ongoing use of incumbent internal combustion engine technology the best it possibly can be, and enable its transition to future carbon-neutral and zero-carbon fuels, while empowering the development and optimisation of novel power systems technologies.

Our Values & Purpose slide-1
Due to its proven cost effectiveness and reliability, and the global manufacturing and fuelling infrastructure, power production for propulsion and energy using internal combustion engines burning hydrocarbon fuels dominates, and it will continue to do so until alternative technologies are proven and become commercially available with the global infrastructure to support them. In the near term at least, we must recognise the global asset base that is built around combustion engines and that the continued use of this is vital. This installed base of engines is vast, consuming energy and resources during their manufacture as well as during operation through the life of these products which can be for decades.
our values & purpose slide 4

Re-purposing and/or upfitting these assets by retrofitting Bowman eTurbo Systems, powered by TorqIQ® technology, will reduce fuel consumption, total cost of ownership (TCO), and emissions while enabling real-time switching to biofuels and/or efuels.

What’s more, Bowman’s eTurbo Systems technology enables the development and improvement of other power systems concepts that are being explored, just one of which is hydrogen fuel cell technology. This solution for conversion of hydrogen into electrical energy also requires air, and eTurbo Systems can increase power density and efficiency of such machines.

We are honest about the challenge of climate change, and deliver practical solutions that can make a significant contribution to the world moving to a net zero future. We do so with passion and operate with integrity and respect. You can place your trust in us to help you.
